Social Bookmarking
Social Bookmarking
Social Bookmarking is similar to URL submissions in that you submit the page or link to a Social Bookmarking site. However, the difference lies in the type of site you are submitting to and the additional work you need to do after submitting your website’s URL.
Social Bookmarking Explained in Plain English
One added task is to socialize with the other members of the Social Bookmarking site. You can do this by:
- joining groups of similar interest as yours
- participating in community discussions
- sharing bookmarks with your friends
- contributing comments or reviews on the sites bookmarked by others
- rating or voting the bookmark as either positive or negative
There are approximately 300 plus social bookmarking sites existing on the web today. Some are nothing short of spam but others are good quality sites that can give you the PR and traffic boost you need. Here are three of the most popular Social Bookmarking sites being used in traffic generation. These sites, however, place a NoFollow attribute to links which is not good for Page Rank boosting.
